If i miss an email about an error and that same error happens again 100 times 7 days later I don't know about it unless im browsing the errors screen.
Agreed. The current way of tracking errors assumes developers are fixing bugs. I want a 1 day snooze on new errors, that resets until someone explicitly Ignores or marks Resolved the error. I also want better JIRA Cloud integration.
Agree - also - the inverse can be possible too that if something shared breaks such as your database you will get overwhelmed with alerts from all applications.
You should take a look at how Sentry manages this where you can specify the maximum number of errors to receive over a time span etc.
As per this Idea - It is mostly too silent - (Supressing errors after 1 event) or too chatty.
Alerting also needs better PagerDuty integration such as how New Relic does it.
Currently setting up the email to alert to a Pager Duty email - you will get another Pager Duty alert when the error is resolved since there is no intelligence like what a proper Pager Duty integration would handle
